How does the cladding calculator count boards?
It divides the wall run length by 200 mm usable board cover, then rounds up to a whole board count and adds the selected waste allowance.
Why is the board width 219 mm but the cover is 200 mm?
The calculator uses 200 mm as the effective cover. The 219 mm physical board width allows for the profile, overlap or shadow line that is not counted as full cover.
Does the 2.9 m height change the board count?
For this simple Great Wall cladding estimate, quantity is driven by the horizontal wall length. The 2.9 m height is shown as the reference board height and should be checked if the wall needs joins or cuts.
