At BuildBarn, we offer flexible delivery and pick-up options for all products, including those on display in our store. Below you will find full details of our delivery services, estimated timeframes, and costs.

Delivery Timeframe

After placing your order, you can expect delivery within the following timeframes:

  • Metropolitan Melbourne: 1–2 business days (typically within 48 hours of order confirmation)
  • Greater Melbourne & Surrounding Suburbs: 2–3 business days
  • Regional Victoria: 3–5 business days (please contact us for availability)

Order cut-off time: Orders placed before 12:00 PM (noon) on business days will be prioritised for next-day delivery where possible.

Delivery Costs

Delivery is charged based on your delivery address and the type of truck required for your order. Freight costs are automatically calculated at checkout once you enter your full delivery address — no manual quote is needed.

  • Flatbed Truck 🚛 — Suitable for standard building materials (timber, decking, fencing, sleepers, etc.)
  • Crane Truck 🏗️ — Required for heavy or elevated deliveries (e.g., large sleeper retaining walls, bulk landscaping materials)

The freight quote will appear in your cart/checkout once your suburb and postcode are entered. Pricing varies by distance from our warehouse in Hallam, VIC 3803.

Products On Display In Store

Many of our products are available to view in person at our showroom located at 3 Eastlink Drive, Hallam VIC 3803. If you have seen a product on display in our store, you can order it online for delivery or arrange pick-up.

Ordering After Viewing In Store:
  • Browse and place your order at buildbarn.com.au at any time.
  • Select your preferred delivery option (Flatbed or Crane Truck) at checkout.
  • Delivery will be arranged within 1–2 business days of order confirmation for Metropolitan Melbourne.
  • You will receive an email and/or SMS confirmation once your order is dispatched.
In-Store Pick-Up:

If you prefer to collect your order directly from our warehouse, pick-up is available during business hours. Once your order is confirmed and ready, our team will notify you with the pick-up details.

  • Hours: Mon–Sat: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Sunday: By appointment
  • Notification: You will receive a call or email when your order is ready for collection.
  • Pick-Up Lead Time: Most orders are ready within 24 hours of purchase.
